A day in the life of a Marketing Manager

Mail 3,500 personalized invitations to customers
After using the mail merge feature in MS Word to import addresses from MS Excel, I select FlyDoc as my printer. The FlyDoc manager walks me through the process, I proof my invitations and they are sent immediately to a FlyDoc mail facility. FlyDoc handles the hassle of printing, sorting, stuffing, sealing and stamping. |
10:15 10:30 |
Fax 400 personalized invitations to customers
Some of our customers prefer to be contacted via fax so I use the mail merge feature to merge their fax information onto the invitations instead of their addresses. Using FlyDoc, the faxes are sent right from my desk. There is no need to print then stand at the fax machine, enter hundreds of fax numbers and wait for them to go through. |

Mail 12,000 brochures to marketing database
Our new product brochure is approved and ready to be sent to our database of customers and prospects. I write a cover letter and then use mail merge to insert the addresses. This time when I print to FlyDoc I add the brochure as a PDF attachment to my letter. After previewing the letter and brochure, I set the print parameters for full color, duplex printing and a 9”x 12” flat envelope. Thanks to FlyDoc, my brochures are on their way! |

Send email newsletter to 850 resellers
The copywriter has completed the monthly reseller newsletter. I log in to FlyDoc and click the email link. I copy and paste my list of reseller email addresses into the interface then attach the HTML file. FlyDoc sends my email without slowing down my computer.

Analyze status of monthly campaigns
Using the FlyDoc Manager, I review the status of the jobs I sent today. Everything seems to be running smoothly so I review the reports of the month’s campaigns. I run a report on failed email messages and mailing addresses and export the data to a file which my assistant will use to update our database. Then I check on an email I sent to our partners last week. I pull up the records of our key contacts to verify that they received and opened the email. Thanks to real time tracking and archival in the FlyDoc Manager, I quickly get a status update of all my mail, fax and email campaigns. |

Write and schedule end of month promotions
A series of email notices are planned for the end of the month. Since the end of the month is such a busy time, I prefer to schedule them in advance. I create MS Word documents and tailor them to each of 6 target markets. Using the FlyDoc Manager, I enter the addresses and attach the appropriate file of email copy. Then I schedule each mailing for the date and time I want it to be delivered. Thanks to FlyDoc I’ll meet my deadlines without the stress of a time crunch.
